Paramedics Ranked First in Trustworthiness

In a 2011 Reader's Digest survey, paramedics are ranked first in public perception of trustworthiness. The annual survey links people's perceptions of individual paramedics they encounter to the service paramedics provide.

Paramedics win people's respect and trust simply through their uniformly high standards of professionalism," stated Joseph DeLucis, DO, FACEP, EMT-P. "Quite simply, people trust paramedics because they are a source of calm help when stabilizing care at times when we are most distressed and vulnerable.

"According to Dale Berry, HVA President and CEO, "HVA medics are perceived as ultra-reliable because they embody the core values that people admire."
