Our paramedic ambulances are American Emergency Vehicles Type III modular units built on Ford E-450 chassis. They are full sized, dual rear wheel ambulances. Non-emergency ambulances are Medix Type III “mini-mod” modular ambulances built on Ford E-350 chassis.

Well-maintained ambulances are critical to providing safe emergency transport. Our vehicles are on a strict preventive maintenance schedule and serviced every 3,500 miles by on-site certified mechanics. Ambulances are retired when the mileage reaches about 250,000 miles. Our retired ambulances are sold or donated to local health care organizations or donated overseas.

We take safe driving very seriously. Our medics are expected to drive safely and defensively at all times. They complete emergency vehicle driving courses and vehicle operation is monitored by an on-board system. They also practice driving in our state-of-the-art driving simulator where responses to realistic scenarios can be evaluated.
